Aspire, Believe - Together Achieve

Inspired by Great Britain's Tim Peake and his successful space mission, we've decided to name our classes after space rockets and launchers.  In the words of Buzz Lightyear, ' to infinity and beyond' - at St Barnabas this is where we take our learning!

We are ENDEAVOUR class, welcome to our class page.

The final chapter of primary school.

In Year 6 we work hard towards our final assessments but we also have plenty of fun along the way.  We read lots of thought-provoking books that give us the opportunity to discover, learn and ask questions.  We are encouraged to have our own opinions and to be confident in what we believe in; we love a class discussion and debate!

As well as working hard in class, we also have different roles and responsibilities around the school.  From house captains to assembly monitors; from tour guides to peer leaders - we are the role models.

Please read the three documents below. They outline the curriculum for Reading, Writing and Maths in Year 6. At St.Barnabas we use these documents to assess your children's depth of understanding throughout the academic year.

This Term Year 6 have been very busy with lots of activities including helping to pack up and send off our unwanted books to Book Aid for Schools in Africa where children can use these books to help with their education well done boys.   They have also been busy with the FA Coach participating in some football activities and using our wonderful new outdoor classroom!

"Endeavour visited The Houses of Parliament as part of their topic.  We were lucky enough to watch a live debate in both the House of Commons and The House of Lords!  At the end of our visit, local MP Chris Skidmore came to meet us and we got to ask him lots of questions."
