Inspired by Great Britain's Tim Peake and his successful space mission, we've decided to name our classes after space rockets and launchers. In the words of Buzz Lightyear, 'to infinity and beyond' - at St Barnabas this is where we take our learning!
We are ATLANTIS class, welcome to our class page.
Discover-Explore-Create! In Year 5, we are encouraged to work cooperatively to extend our knowledge and understanding of the world by engaging in interesting class topics, reading high quality books and keeping abreast of current affairs. We DISCOVER our past through asking historical questions; EXPLORE our world by finding out how we can make it a better place; and CREATE some amazing artwork using some unusual materials!
We are fantastic learners who always do the best we can. Everyone matters and we always make sure we support and encourage each other.
Yes, we will work hard, but we will have lots of fun along the way, as we prepare ourselves for Year 6 and then secondary school. And of course....... we have school camp this year! Awesome!
|Please read the three documents below. They outline the curriculum for Reading, Writing and Maths in Year 5. At St.Barnabas we use these documents to assess your children's depth of understanding throughout the academic year.|
